No.3
optional children’s
critical illness
Cover
More flexible cover that can be added to a parent’s
life, critical illness, combined or income protection policy.
What makes our approach better
Most other providers only make children’s critical illness cover available with adult critical illness cover. And it’s usually automatically included so the customer pays for it whether they have children or not.
However, we treat children’s critical illness cover as an optional extra that can be added to the parent’s stand-alone life, stand-alone critical illness, combined life and critical illness or income protection policy. And it can be added when the cover is taken out or at any point in the future.
PLUS WE OFFER HIGHER COVER AMOUNTS
Unlike most other providers, we don’t limit the children’s cover to £25,000 or a maximum of 25% of the adult’s policy.
Instead, if parents are adding children’s cover to their stand-alone life, stand-alone critical illness, or combined life and critical illness cover, they can choose any amount between £10,000 and £100,000 to a maximum of the amount they’re covered for themselves. For income protection, the maximum amount of cover available is their annual cover amount multiplied by their cover term, up to a maximum of £100,000.
